Mike’s Musings

So today is my grandmother’s birthday.  She’s been dead nearly a year now.  I honored her memory by writing about her (at least a veiled version of her) in a novel I’m writing for National Novel Writing Month.  At one point, I was taken directly back to when I was a child and that’s when my writing went to deep place.  I could feel her with me.  She sat on my shoulder.
